Literature

Literature is the art of using language and words as tools to reflect objective reality and express the writer's spiritual world in a more figurative way, including poetry, prose, novels, plays, fables, fairy tales and other genres, which are important expressions of literature, expressing inner emotions and reproducing the social life of a certain period and a certain region in different forms, i.e. genres.

Literature is one of the disciplinary classifications belonging to the humanities, alongside philosophy, religion, law and politics in the upper echelons of social architecture. It has its origins in the activities of the human mind. The first to emerge was oral literature, generally linked to music as lyrical poetry that could be sung. The earliest written literature was formed by the Chinese Book of Psalms, the Indian Ramayana and the ancient Greek Illyrian Chronicle. During the pre-Qin period in China, all works written in writing were collectively called literature, and only after the Wei and Jin Dynasties were literary works gradually listed separately. The traditional European taxonomy of literary theory divides literature into three categories: poetry, prose and drama. Modern times usually divide literature into four categories: poetry, fiction, prose, and drama.
